Responsible for designing digital training modules on different topics in a variety of formats and accessible from a range of devices e.g. short videos, e-learning modules, interactive presentations, digital based assessment activities.
- Transformation of our existing library of training courses as well as new modules based on emerging business requirements.
- Structure technical content and activities to optimise learning.
- Create engaging learning modules based on technical content through the development of:
- Learning activities to enhance the learning process;
- Supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, games etc);
- Student guides and training manual;
- Engaging instructional graphics; and
- Assessment tools, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course.
- Identify the target audience’s training needs.
- Test all developed solutions.
- Set instructional end goals and adapt technical content to meet these.
- Liaise with technical teams and subject matter experts who produce training content.
- Conduct research in learning technologies and instructional design, identifying trends and best practice.
- Maintain project documentation and course folders.
- Tracking of the status of training courses in our Learning Management System.
Your profile
- Instructional designer experience.
- Passionate about making learning an invigorating and empowering experience.
- Knowledge of learning styles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Experience of managing projects.
- Working knowledge of basic graphic design.
- Previous experience in instructional design including use of authoring tools, writing instructional text, audio and video scripts.
- Experience of using a variety of authoring tools to create eLearning content
- Understanding core principles of learning design and development.
- Knowledge of recent technological trends and developments.
- Team player and builds effective working relationships.
- Proven organisational and time management skills and working to deadlines.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and a second language – French or Spanish – would be beneficial (but not essential).
